The companion publication to the Articles of a Treaty exhibit catalog. Includes the seventeen poems crafted by Oceti Sakowin writers. Each poem is tied to one of the seventeen articles of the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty.

The official publication for the educational art exhibit about the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty. Includes color photographs of the 30 artworks by Lakota and Nakota artists, and QR Codes that link to the poems and songs that were created by Oceti Sakowin poets and musicians for the exhibit.

Seven Council Fires Origins
A children’s book for grades 3-5 teaches the names, meanings, and origins of the Seven Council Fires nations. The Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota oyates are introduced chronologically. A diagram shows their places in the original camp circle. A pronunciation guide follows the narrative. Developed with input from South Dakota teachers.
