Seventeen employees of SURF, Sanford Underground Research Facility, located in Lead, South Dakota, convened at Wingsprings, in the Lacreek District of Pine Ridge Reservation, for a half-day learning opportunity to build their capacity regarding the history and current conditions of American Indian tribes, their citizens and their reservations in South Dakota. The training included suggestions for action items that can be implemented immediately.
