This week’s CAIRNS Etanhan Wotanin column was inspired by last week’s prisoner exchange of Brittany Griner (USA) and Viktor Bout (Russia).  But instead of the USA and Russia, the exchange was between the Arikara nation and the Hunkpapa nation in the late summer of 1862. The blazing star glyph represents one or both of the comets that were visible even during the day in 1910. The glyph of a man and horse represents Martin White Horse, who died in 1910.
