Congressional Snow Blindness

Monday, September 20, 2021

This week’s CAIRNS Etanhan Wotanin column discusses some of the full moons that comprise the Lakotan year. Today, September 20, 2021, is a full moon, and 125 years ago this day the Manypenny Commission was in the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty lands attempting to get Lakotans to agree to the 1877 Act that took all the hunting land, all the unceded land, and all of the Black Hills from Lakotan hands. The column, Congressional Snow Blindness,” can be read now by clicking here, or later this week in the Lakota Times newspaper.
