South Dakota Department of Transportation Erases Indian Reservations

There are a number of ways to erases American Indians and their lands. The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) does it cartographically by erasing boundaries of reservations, portions of reservations, and even entire reservations. American Indian reservations are federal lands, not state lands. The SDDOT shows all federal lands in the state—except for American Indian lands!
