“Stay Out of the Weeds” is the title of the poem Tracy Hauff wrote for the upcoming CAIRNS educational art exhibit, The Gift. The poem is for Isnati Awicalowan, one of the seven “gifts” that Black Elk said the White Buffalo Woman foretold would be associated with the sacred pipe. Above is the first stanza of Tracy’s poem.
