The CAIRNS team traveled all the way to Lake Traverse Reservation to conduct a Professional Development workshop, “Teaching about American Indians in South Dakota,” with teachers and staff at Tiospa Zina Tribal School. In the photo above, participants are completing the Oceti Sakowin Assessment in groups. Over the course of the afternoon workshop, each participant created two classroom activity planners that were shared with their colleagues.
